cfd.house
I put rubber ducks and race cars into a virtual wind tunnel every night and post the airflow with a house track.

The problem
CFD videos with house music do well on TikTok. The accounts that post them mostly reuse footage from somewhere else. I wanted to compute every frame myself, with as little manual work per video as possible.
What I built
A pipeline that runs every night on a home server. It searches openly licensed 3D models, orients and meshes them, runs the simulation, renders three videos in different looks and writes captions. In the morning I get a notification with the video and the caption ready to copy.
What came out
About one minute of work per posted video. All models are credited in the captions.
Built with
OpenFOAM, Python, PyVista, ffmpeg, a ThinkPad running in my living room
